This is how payment plans work:

Payment plans can be spread out over 5, 10 or 15 installments.

These payments are not based on dates.

The quicker you make all your payments, the sooner you can get your eBook published.

Each installment of the payment plan will incur a $10 fee per installment. For example, your book has 50,000 words, and you’d like to publish your eBook with an ISBN. This means your setup fee would be $530.

  • Based on a setup fee of $530 and a 5-installment payment plan, your payments would be $116 each.
  • Based on a setup fee of $530 and a 10-installment payment plan, your payments would be $63 each.
  • Based on a setup fee of $530 and a 15-installment payment plan, your payments would be $45 each.

Keep in mind that payment plans are simply an option. You don’t have to use this option. You can use the traditional, no-fee-incurring method of paying upfront if you have the total amount of your setup fee.

FAQ

Question: What if after a couple of installments, I’m able to pay the rest of the setup fee all at once?

Answer: You are not penalized if you are able to pay the rest of the setup fee without completing the entire installment plan. You’ll simply make the last payment and include the installment fee for that payment.

For example, you make one payment on a 5-installment payment plan of $116, and then you’re able to pay the rest of the setup fee all at once. Then you’d pay $434 in your next payment, which is $116 multiplied by 4 plus the $10 installment fee.

Question: Can I get all my money back if I decide not to follow through with publishing with SolaPress but I’ve already started paying installments.

Answer: No installment plan fees, the $10 you pay per installment, will be refunded. After 180 days, you will not be entitled to a refund on a payment that is 180 days or older. Each payment stands alone  for the purpose of assessing the 180-day period. Whatever amount you’ve paid prior to the 180-day cut-off, you will receive back less a 25% overall fee which will be assessed against the amount you’ve already paid in installments.

For example, you make three payments of $116, and you’ve decided to publish with another company besides SolaPress. The first $116 payment was made 8 months ago, and you will not be entitled to a refund on that payment. The last two payments were made in the last three months, so you would receive a refund of $154, which is $232 minus $78, which is $20 in installment fees and the 25% fee that will be assessed against the amount you’ve paid in installments that are eligible to be refunded.

Question: How long do I have to pay all my installments?

Answer: There is no time limit, but keep in mind that after 180 days you will not be entitled to a refund on a payment that is 180 days or older. Each payment stands alone  for the purpose of assessing the 180-day period. Also, remember that no installment plan fees, the $10 you pay per installment, will be refunded.

Question: Do I have to sign a contract?

Answer: Yes, but the contract is for the payment plan, not for actually publishing with SolaPress. Once your payment plan is completed, you’ll sign another contract to publish with SolaPress. This way, if you decide to ask for a refund so you can publish with another company, you’re not locked into publishing with SolaPress.

The payment plan contract simply outlines the terms of the payment plan, not the terms of publishing with SolaPress. If you  successfully complete the payment plan, then you’ll be ready to move on to the next step, which is getting published.
